Welcome to the Annual S.F.F.N.Z Composite Developments National Pairs Fly Fishing Competition. You are invited to enter. We are pleased to acknowledge our sponsors:

This event will be held on Lake Rotoaira, Turangi.
The competition dates are 1st and 2nd November 2008.
This year the format of this event will change slightly. Any two anglers can fish together for the CD Rods National Pairs Fly Fishing Championship, however to be eligible for the major prize pool you may only have one of competitor that has fished in the National individual competition previously.
This year entries are limited to 35 teams on a first in first served basis.
- There are great prizes up for grabs this year. It’s a fun comp and a time catch up with other anglers and to share fishing techniques, info and flies, etc.
- There will be a distance fly casting competition on the Saturday after session 2 at the Holiday Park
- The Annual General Meeting will be held Saturday evening, so as a member it’s a great opportunity to have your say in the exciting development of your fishing association.
- Accommodation has been booked at the Tongariro Holiday Park for 31 October and 1 November we and prefer competitors to stay at the lodge. There will be no refund of accommodation fee if you choose to stay elsewhere. All costs are incorporated in the one fee.
- Entrants that have paid both their SFFNZ subs and entry fee will be sent an information pack in the mail within a week of receiving payment. If you don’t get yours please phone the organiser ASAP.
Each team is responsible for the following items:
(a) Provide a boat suitable for two seated anglers (facing sideways) Please bring own seating
(b) Boat owners are to provide a life jacket for themselves and any other safety equipment
(c) Anglers without boats are responsible for bringing their own life vests
(d) You must have a Taupo licence – (will be available at the venue)
(e) You must have a Rotoaira licence – (will be available at the venue)
(f) Bring your sleeping bag/duvet and any personal items you may need
(g) You must ensure that you are familiar with the rules which are available on the SFFNZ website
Timetable:
Friday 31st October
8.30pm Briefing and ballot, at Tongariro Holiday Park.
Saturday 1st November
9.00am – 12 noon Session one
1.00pm – 4.00pm Session two
5.00pm - 7.00pm Distance Fly casting championship
Sunday 2nd November
9.00am –12 noon Session three
Food: *Bring your own, or there is a takeaway shop nearby that opens at 8.00am and closes around 8.00pm. It also has basic items such as milk, butter, toothpaste etc.
*There is a BBQ facility available.
